For maximum standardization, both in procurement and field service, the Ordnance Department has limited the shell types, sizes and insert arrangements to those found on Ordnance Procurement Chart 7723494. This catalog section contains the electrical connectors and accessories available from Crown Connector and appear on the chart. Crown Ordnance Connectors include:

  1. Resilient inserts per Ordnance Specifications provide high dielectric strength, high arc resistance and resistance to severe vibration.

  2. Aluminum components are fabricated to withstand vibration and shock.

  3. Shell Components come with a cadmium plate finish and a clear chromate after treatment. This finish is electrically conductive and is resistant to corrosion.

  4. High quality copper alloy contacts are silver plated to assure good electrical continuity between pins and socket contacts.

  5. Satisfactory performance through a temperature range of -65°F to +257°F.
